Wild Ginger

12 Guests (10 adults, 2 children)
5 Bedrooms | 6 beds | 5 baths

Newly remodeled! Nov 2025.

Through a gated entry and down a short staircase gently descending through lush tropical plantings is Wild Ginger, a romantic 5 bedroom, 5 bath, fully air-conditioned villa. From the pool deck and outdoor patio, one look at the sweeping ocean views, and numerous surrounding islands, will thrill you. Each bedroom suite comes with ocean views and its own private bathroom. The open living room and kitchen has plenty of space to relax and enjoy your Caribbean vacation.

The space

The master bedroom/bath beckons romance with its teak four-poster king bed and ensuite bath. A step from the bed is a screened door which opens to the veranda with seating and to those amazing ocean views and cooling tropical trade winds.

A separate pavilion, the Pool Pavilion suite, on the opposite side of the pool and sun deck houses Wild Ginger’s second air-conditioned bedroom/bath, furnished with a queen bed and TV.

Below the main balcony, accessed by an outdoor staircase, is the third and forth bedrooms, which offer the utmost in privacy. The sun-filled rooms are adorned with original art and each private suite offers a queen bed, ensuite bathroom with a large vanity and walk in shower, A/C and a balcony with a view towards the sea.

The 5th bedroom is a private studio suite featuring a queen-size bed, a full kitchen for guest use, and its own en-suite bathroom. The living area includes a full-size pull-out sofa, ideal for 2 children. Please note: the only bathroom in this suite is accessible through the bedroom, not directly from the living area.

Optional Pool Heating Available
The pool can be heated for an additional $45 per night. If you’d like this added to your stay, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance, as it takes a full day to reach temperature.

Guest access

Guests have full access to the all living areas of the villa and outdoor area. No other guests or people are on the property.
Other things to note
A rental car is recommended to get around. Taxis are available, but can be infrequent or costly. There are no Uber or Lyft drivers in the Virgin Islands. If needed, we can recommend a reliable taxi or driver.

You can walk, jog or exercise on the residential roads surrounding the house. Very scenic! Is it also a short walk to the beach.

Property also features back up generator in the event of island power outages.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my rental have all the basic household kitchen and bathroom items?

Yes!  When you stay with Caribbean Properties, you will always experience fully-stocked interiors for a hassle-free experience no matter which property you book!  Each kitchen is fully stocked with all the basic kitchen and cooking essentials, ensuring that you have everything you need to prepare meals during your visit. In addition to the kitchen provisions, the property is thoughtfully equipped with essential toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, and hair dryers, as well as practical items like an iron, ironing board and cleaning supplies.  We stock each unit with assorted board games, playing cards and puzzles.  Furthermore, your comfort and convenience are a priority, with beach towels, beach chairs, and a cooler provided to enhance your enjoyment of the beautiful surroundings and pristine beaches.

Is my rental located in a safe area?
We only host properties that are located in safe areas and neighborhoods. We have never had a safety issue with our guests.  Like any city or destination, there are some areas to avoid and places better not frequented at night.  We are always available to discuss any local safety issues or concerns.
Is the tap water safe?
Water at all of our properties is triple-filtered with UV-light, which makes it safe for daily usage on your body and brushing your teeth.  Most people drink the filtered water as well, including ourselves, but we recommended bottled water if you’re not comfortable with the tap water or prefer the taste of bottled.
Are there food or grocery delivery services?

Shopping for groceries locally is not always a fun experience or a good use of your vacation time.  We recommend having provisions or groceries delivered directly to your rental, and they can be there before you arrive!  We can recommend local, trusted service providers for this that are already familiar with our rental units.

Is there Uber/Lyft, what is the cost of a taxi?
Beware – There are no Uber or Lyft services in the Virgin Islands.  Taxis are available, but they are expensive!  They charge per person and may group you with other travelers.  If you’re planning to explore the islands, having your own rental car is strongly recommended.   If you want to hire a driver or need a good, reliable taxi, we can recommend some for you.
Should I rent a car?
Renting a car is highly advised when visiting St. Thomas. Depending solely on taxis can be costly, and you might find yourself waiting long periods of time for them. A rental car provides the flexibility to traverse St. Thomas’s hidden gems, shop at your convenience, enjoy nightlife without time constraints, and ensures you’re not stuck in places with no mobile signal.
Internet Access and WIFI?
All of our properties come with Wifi internet, typically ranging from 50-100 Mbps.  You will be able to stream TV, FaceTime, Zoom, and do other high-speed, online activities.
Is there cell service?
Cell service is typically good, but there are some dead spots and areas where coverage could be spotty or not available.  If you’re going to any “off the beaten path” beaches or the east end of St John, for example, be prepared to not have cell coverage at times.  Cell service can be accessed from our rental properties.  Enabling Wifi calling on your mobile phone is recommended, and be sure to disable “data roaming,” as we occasionally pick up cell signals from the British Virgin Islands.
What if I have an emergency?
If ever needed, there is a large, traditional hospital in St. Thomas with 24-hour emergency care.  Ambulances and emergency response teams are available across the U.S. Virgin Islands, but consider driving directly to the hospital, if possible, as ambulances may take longer to respond.  Pharmacies along with family and walk-in clinics are also available for non-emergency situations.  There is a Walgreens with a pharmacy located in St. Thomas.  These locations and emergency contact numbers are all provided in our House Manuals at each property.
